Course Information 

Master Resiliency Trainer (MRT) Certification is a 10-day course during
which students will learn resilience and performance skills and gain the knowledge to properly instruct these skills to their units. This course entails daily reading assignments, homework, teach backs, and a final exam. The course will be held 1-12May2023, from approximately 0800-1630, location TBD (Ederle or Del Din).

 

Students need to be present for the entirety of the course, and may not miss more than 2 hours unless prior approval by the course administrator. Students will be required to in-process Day 0, 27APR23, anytime between the hours of 1000-1500, Del Din.

Candidate

Nominees should possess the following traits and attributes: 

1. In a position that will allowing them to be the primary resilience and
performance trainer for the unit.

2. Comfortable providing formal and informal training to small and large
groups of mixed ranks.

3. Physically fit and demonstrate daily physical maintenance.

4. Self-starter and capable of organizing, coordinating and developing
training plans for the unit.

5. Wiling to initiate one-on-one resilience and performance enhancement
counseling with all ranks.

6. Outgoing leader who is open and honest and will take the time to
demonstrate empathy.

7. Show a keen interest in lifelong learning and is eager to adopt new ideas
or change.

8. Willing to think creatively and find solutions to problems with an
open-minded perspective.

9. Open to learning about themselves and create change through positive
thinking platforms.

10. Respected in the organization by superiors as well as peers and
subordinates.

11. Mentally agile, able to compartmentalize thoughts and feelings that
present a professional image as a role model.

12. Lives the Army Value system and is proud to be a part of something more
important than themselves.

13. Demonstrates a higher level of social awareness that allows the
engagement of unit Family members without appearing overbearing or
offensive.

14. Possess the ability to facilitate a discussion rather than reading
slides and distributing handouts.
